DAY 1
THE MORNING BEGINS WITH A TUTORIAL OF HOW DENIM IS MADE AND AN EXPLANATION OF DENIM TERMINOLOGY. THIS INSTRUCTION WILL ALSO INCLUDE AN OUTLINE OF THE WET AND DRY PROCESS TECHNIQUES USED IN COMMERCIAL WASHHOUSES. IN THE AFTERNOON, THE HANDS ON TRAINING BEGINS. YOU WILL BE SETTING UP YOUR WASHES AND BEGIN APPLYING DRY PROCESS TECHNIQUES.
DAY 2
THIS DAY IS TOTAL HANDS ON TRAINING. YOU WILL BE STONE WASHING, BLEACHING, DYEING, TINTING, TACKING, SPONGING, SPRAYING, AND HAND SANDING. YOU CAN DESIGN YOUR WASH ON OUR IN HOUSE BLANKS OR DECIDE TAKE IN YOUR OWN JEAN TO RECREATE IT TO YOUR OWN DESIRED EFFECT. YOU CAN REVIEW BPD’S VAST COLLECTION OF VINTAGE GARMENTS FOR INSPIRATION.

INCLUDING MOYOZASHI (PATTERNS) AND HITOMEZASHI (ONE STITCH)
EACH STUDENT WILL LEAVE WITH 3-4
PROJECTS/TECHNIQUES THAT THEY WILL BE ABLE TO WEAR OR PUT INTO ANOTHER PROJECT.
